All Quiet on the Blog Front!!!!

Sorry for my blogging silence this past week...it has been a very fun yet busy week and I have not had a lot of time or INTERNET to blog. It all started this past weekend..or maybe even a little before that with my cousin's wedding. I was a bridesmaid so I was quite busy :) It was such a beautiful and fun wedding on the Queen Mary and I am so happy that my cousin is now married to one of my best friends and a truly beautiful lady. Next was Mother's day which was right after the wedding so I was exhausted! But my mom and I went to the antique swap meet at the Rosebowl and found some amazing little treasures. I was on the hunt for a turquoise or light blue 1960's train case (which usually means I will never find it) but I did this time! and it is beautiful :) Later that day we had a wonderful early dinner and spent the rest of the day recovering from the wedding. After all that I thought I would sit down and blog...but I decided to join  my aunt at her condo in San Clemente...which has nooo internet! Well I hope you all had a wonderful week and I am now back on track with regular blogs!

For My Mother

Happy Mother's Day mom, you are truly the most amazing woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. You are strong, beautiful inside and out, you always have some fun new project for me to do and all through my life you have helped and shaped me into the woman I am today. I wish that I could be even half the woman that you are. You constantly give to others and never ask for anything in return. You are truly magnificent and anyone who has ever met you would agree. I love you more than I could ever convey.

Birthday Fish

I had such an amazing 23rd birthday. First my cousin Kevin is home from the Coast Guard in Alaska for his wedding this Saturday so that already made my birthday extra special. Even better I ate at my favorite thai restaurant called Thai on Main with my family and my amazing soon to be chef cousin made me a snow white cake which was sooo scrumptious :) I am truly blessed to have wonderful friends and family. They made my birthday special.


Ps. I will have to post a story about why the title of this post is so important and explain how I got the nickname "bluefish" hence the title birthday fish :)

Today was an amazing day...although extremely hot it was a wonderful day spent with my cousin and her two daughters and my future cousin in law. It was so hot we all went out onto the porch and started fanning ourselves like three southern belles from Atlanta in the summer! It was so nice to spend the day with one of my best friends while putting the finishing touches on her wedding plans for this Saturday. Such a lovely day....plus I got to take my new favorite purse out on the town....an early birthday present from a dear friend. My birthday is this Wednesday! I can't wait....the big 23. Who am I kidding...23 isn't such a spectacular age but I always enjoy every birthday because it is another year I get to live life! :)

Embroidery Hoop DiY

I have wanted to try this lovely diy for a long time now. I had seen this project once before but did not have the fabric for it and when I saw it on the Purple Bee I just had to do it. I am scavenging for the perfect combination of fabrics so I will have to update you all on the finished project but I am so excited about it. I think I will do a sparrow/peacock theme to go with my room. Enjoy!!
